Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican-American sportscaster. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN, working as anchor for SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. Her first assignment with ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been bilingual since her age of nine. The ability to speak two languages allowed her to land her first job with Univision, Miami. She could work with producers from across the country on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her first job was as a reporter for an affiliate of the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. She also worked as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. Reporting on stories about immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of the border of Mexico-Texas, she worked as a reporter on an evening newscast at 5. p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and reporter of anchoring the 9 p.m. news in English in addition to another reporter for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. They moved at some point in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on the month of November in 1985. Her sister is also there. The family moved into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. The couple divorced shortly thereafter and, in 1995, she married a naval designer called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The couple remained there in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer, in which she was offered the chance to get a job. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school however, she was very aware of her professional goals. She went to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. It turned out that she was a fan of the university and they were offering the major she wanted. She graduated from high school and was accepted at the college to study media studies. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU Radio and was student in her class, built a relationship that lasted for a lifetime with the student. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in herself inspired her. She, in turn was determined to achieve his expectations and never fall short of his expectations.
